Why did this Reata Trails home need new windows?

The homeowner is a repeat client who already trusted our crew from an earlier project. The older windows had lost their seal and were letting heat push through, which is a losing battle in a Georgetown summer.

Why did we choose the Andersen 100 Fibrex Series?

Fibrex is the reason this window suits Central Texas so well. It's a composite made from reclaimed wood fiber and thermoplastic polymer, and it behaves nothing like plain vinyl. Vinyl frames soften and warp when surface temps climb past 100 degrees, which loosens seals and lets conditioned air leak out. Fibrex stays dimensionally stable through that heat, so the frame keeps its shape and the seal keeps doing its job. That stability is what a homeowner would otherwise get wrong by defaulting to the cheapest vinyl on the shelf.
