Why did this Liberty Hill home need a new roof?

What did we find during the inspection?

What materials did we use, and why?

The heart of this roof is the GAF Timberline HDZ shingle, paired with a full protection package underneath. We don't just nail shingles to bare wood. Every layer here has a job.

We started with GAF FeltBuster synthetic underlayment across 10 squares, which sheds water far better than old felt and won't wrinkle in the heat. Then we ran StormGuard ice-and-water shield across the vulnerable spots, 2 squares' worth, to seal against wind-driven rain. The Timberline HDZ shingles were fastened with 1 1/4-inch coil nails, 7,200 of them, for a grip that holds through gusty storm fronts. That layered build is what makes the difference in Liberty Hill's mix of heat, hail, and sudden downpours.
