Why did this Wells Branch home need new windows?

Many homes in Wells Branch date to the 1980s and 2000s. The original windows were single-pane or worn double-pane units that had lost their seal. That means fogging, drafts, and rooms that never quite cooled down.

What windows did we install, and why Simonton?

We went with the Simonton Daylight Max line for this project. The design uses a slimmer frame, so you get more glass and more light without a bigger opening. That matters in a Texas summer.

The wider glass area could be a problem in our heat, but Daylight Max pairs it with strong insulated glass and tight weatherstripping. Those seals are the real defense against 100-degree afternoons and gusty spring storms. White vinyl also resists fading and needs no repainting, unlike wood frames that swell and crack in our humidity swings. For a home that wanted low upkeep and a bright, modern feel, it was the right call.

How did the installation go?

We ordered the 15 windows on June 2 and received them at our warehouse in mid-July. Once every unit passed our check, we scheduled the install. The crew worked across two days, July 22 and 23, 2026.

• Sealed and insulated around every unit for a tight fit
• Cleaned up fully at the end of each work day

What were the results?
