Installation

Why did this Leander home need new siding?
Many homes around Leander date to the 1990s and early 2000s, and their original siding takes a beating. Between 100°-plus summers, hail, and heavy cedar pollen, older cladding warps, cracks, and traps moisture. This home was overdue for an upgrade that could handle all of it.

What materials did we use, and why?
We installed James Hardie HardiePlank Select Cedar Mill 8.25" boards, which come primed and ready for paint. Fiber cement handles Leander's swings from dry heat to sudden storms without swelling or splitting. It also stands up to hail far better than wood or vinyl.
