What materials did we use, and why?

We went with vinyl frames from the NT Executive line for one main reason: they hold up in Central Texas. Vinyl does not warp or swell the way wood can when the heat climbs and the humidity swings. It also shrugs off cedar pollen and the grit that coats everything each spring. For sealing, we used OSI closed-cell spray foam around each frame, then finished the exterior with Sherwin-Williams Power House 60-year white caulk. That combination locks out air and water where the frame meets the wall, which is exactly where cheap installs fail first.
