Why did this Windermere building need new windows?

The old windows had reached the end of their useful life. For a counseling center, comfort and quiet matter more than most spaces, so an efficient, well-sealed window makes a real difference.

This was a repeat client. We had already done the windows on the church owners' home, so they trusted us with the counseling center too.

What did we find on site?

The crew found older windows set into a stone exterior that needed careful handling. Pulling windows from a masonry wall is not the same as a standard framed opening. If you rush it, you crack the surrounding stone and create a bigger repair than the window itself.

That is why we planned stone mortar repair into the scope from the start. As each old unit came out, the crew cleaned up the openings and repaired the mortar so the new frame seated tight. Skipping that step is the most common mistake here. A window can be perfect, but a bad seal against the stone still lets in heat, water, and cedar pollen every spring.

What materials did we use, and why?

We installed NT Twinsulator aluminum windows in a white-on-white finish. Aluminum frames stand up well to the daily heat and expansion cycles you get in Pflugerville summers. The Twinsulator system adds a thermal break, which helps cut heat transfer through the frame.

Aluminum also holds its shape over time, which matters for larger commercial-style openings. It stays strong without the bulk of other frame types. For a building that sees a lot of foot traffic and needs to stay comfortable, that durability earns its keep.

How did the installation go?

The on-site work ran two days, July 8 through July 9, 2026. Our window technician measured ahead of the order, so the units fit the openings without surprises. That measure step is why the swap went smoothly.

What were the results?
