Planning & approval

Installation
The crew installed 7/16" OSB wall sheathing first, then hung the 8.25" Select Cedar Mill boards over multiple days starting in late July. Painting followed once the siding was set. We coated the siding, fascia, soffit up to 24 inches, and the garage doors.
Completion
August 9, 2024We wrapped all work on August 9, 2024, including two rounds of yard cleanup and punch-out items. After a final walkthrough, the project closed on August 28, 2024. The home is now protected by durable fiber cement and backed by James Hardie's product warranty.

Why did this Round Rock home need new siding?
The old exterior on this home in The Oaklands had taken years of hard Central Texas seasons. Heat, hail, and moisture wear down wood-based siding fast around here. The homeowner wanted a lasting fix, not another repaint over tired boards.
