Why did this Blue Spring home need a new roof?

What did the crew find during inspection?

Once we got on the roof, the hail bruising was clear across the field shingles and the metal accessories. The old drip edge and box vents had rusted, which is common on Round Rock homes built through the 1990s and early 2000s. Hard limestone soil and years of freeze-thaw cycles also loosen fasteners over time, so we planned to re-nail and reseal everything rather than reuse tired parts. Skipping those small metal pieces is where a lot of budget roofers cut corners, and it leads to leaks a season or two later.
