The homeowner found Austin Pro through an internet search and reached out on May 21, 2024. The early conversation focused on replacing worn siding and old windows on a Northeast Austin home in the 78754 area.
We inspected the exterior and confirmed the cladding was weathered and the windows were letting air escape. The walls also needed new sheathing beneath the old siding. Those findings shaped a full replacement plan rather than repairs.
The project was approved on June 3, 2024, and moved into the prospect stage that same day. We finalized the James Hardie product, the NT Window Executive Series units, and the Sherwin Williams paint selection. The windows were ordered in June to secure lead time.
The windows arrived in July, so the crew started there and set the new NT Window units over a few days. We then tore off the old siding, installed 7/16-inch OSB sheathing, and hung the HardiePlank Select Cedar Mill lap in late July. A finish coat of SuperPaint sealed the fiber cement.
